Custom Order Policy

Your initial 50% deposit reserves your event date and is non-refundable. 

Although we make every attempt to provide an exact design and to match colors, custom cakes are a work of art. It may not be possible to match an exact design or shade of a color, but we will come as close as possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations.  Also be aware the exposure to light can cause colors to change. We do not offer discounts or refunds if the exact design or shade of a color is not achieved or if a variation occurs due to lighting.  In the event that a major design variation needs to be made, Pretty Sweet will communicate this to the customer and seek re-design approval.

Delivery and setup is based on mileage to your venue. Someone must be available at the venue during the delivery window. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below.  

If flowers are provided by an outside source 24 prior to the pickup or delivery of your cake, we will arrange them on your cake at no additional cost. You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. Our delivery driver is not able to place flowers on the cake at the venue.

If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Pretty Sweet’s possession.

On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.

Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.

Refunds & Cancellation Policy

50% NON-REFUNDABLE FEE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CUSTOM ORDERS.

Deposit refunds will not be made for cancellations of any kind, but will be applied to your order as a credit in the event that a change of date occurs due to unforeseen circumstances.  

If you come to our store for pickup, or if we deliver the cake to you and the cake does not meet your expectations, we will give you a refund (minus 25% handling/cancellation fee). Note: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake.  You only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will not negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake.  This is a “take it, or leave it” policy. 

Pretty Sweet takes great pride in the quality of product that we produce. However, we are only human and mistakes can be made. In some cases you may qualify for a store credit if the product is brought back to us within 24 hours and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards.  If no product is able to be returned for examination, no matter the reason, no compensation will be offered. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Pretty Sweet Bakery.
